This training unit enables primary school teachers to deal with the topic of sexuality, gender and sex stereotypes in order to prevent exclusion, discrimination and violence. The resource was developed in the framework of a holistic approach to sexuality and the pedagogy - head, hearts and hand - within the Pestalozzi Programme, the educational programme of the Council of Europe.
The activities used in the resource help learners to explore gender and sexuality stereotypes through deconstruction and assist teachers in understanding human diversity, increasing tolerance and respect for differences.
The training unit is prepared for primary school teachers; it contains group work activities, collaborative work, analyses and reflection.
