This resource addresses intercultural education key competencies relating to the basic social skills needed for creating a good learning atmosphere in the classroom.
The resource, which has been developed within the Pestalozzi Programme, offers opportunities to address the basic concepts of interculturalism and intercultural education. Participants learn how to practice didactic principles of interculturalism through the modeling of real activities that have been tested on students and educators, including role play, simulations and games. Consequently, participants reflect on how to promote a better understanding of the self and others by practicing communication and social skills.
Practitioners who are working with groups aged 3-10 can use this resource to gain insight into intercultural education and actions that can promote a positive classroom learning atmosphere.
