This resource prepares learners to identify and prevent covert discrimination both in face-to-face communication as well as in digital media. It introduces learners to a conceptual and emotional understanding of covert discrimination, how to engage it through cooperative learning and practice how to act against it.
The resource focuses on competence development as outlined in the CEFR both in terms of dealing with discrimination and in regards to cooperative learning. The unit is intended to be used by teachers, teacher trainers and future teachers teaching secondary education, academic and vocational programs as well as adult education. The resource does not focus on any specific school subject and can be used within any training environment focusing on learning about and reflecting on covert discrimination within an educational context.
