This unit, developed in the Pestalozzi Programme, focuses on the development of intercultural competence of pre-service teachers. The aim is to raise their awareness of the importance of their role as teachers in the development of this competence among students, by introducing collaborative and participatory practices as well as formative assessment tools. Cooperative group work, role-play, self-assessment and plenary discussions help them transfer the content and methods into their classrooms.
