One of the best ways to acquire knowledge is by being actively engaged in it, and it is this approach that this resource uses. Practitioners involved in teacher training can construct knowledge and develop skills by using a blogging tool, which can facilitate writing in classrooms through the active use of its features. Although the resource utilises the example of literature to engage in reflective writing, practitioners, upon mastering blogging, can adapt the way it is used based on their needs across subjects.
Because the use of new media is often accompanied by concerns over appropriate use by students, the material, developed within the Pestalozzi Programme, also makes reference to human rights, in order to promote responsible use of such tools.
