This unit encourages teachers to reflect on their personal philosophy of education and the role of educators in a world of globalisation and change, based on the following three key questions:
- What person are we trying to educate, so that he/she can live in a multicultural and global world?
- How can we deal with the diversity of world views in the different dimensions of moral and psychological experience?
- How can we deal with diversity of philosophical and religious dimensions of world views?
The unit, developed within the Pestalozzi Programme, can be used at in-service training of teachers of lower and upper secondary education.
