This Pestalozzi training unit provides materials for in-service teacher trainers for a 6-hour workshop. In this workshop participants receive hands-on experience in evaluating historical resources based on a set of agreed criteria. Teachers are made to evaluate how these sources are suitable for the discussion of a given historical event and then plan how they would use these sources in the classroom to develop a multi-perspective discussion of that event. In the second part of the workshop the focus is on enabling participants to develop a lesson plan, based on the content they teach, where they use the selected sources effectively in the classroom.
