This training resource raises awareness about sex, gender and sexual orientation stereotypes. It clarifies the concepts of gender, sex, gender roles and gender stereotypes. The training unit helps teachers develop efficient ways of reacting to delicate questions from pupils concerning sexual issues. Moreover, the training unit explores teachers’ own stereotypes in order to minimize their influence while discussing sexuality with pupils.

This resource provides learners with cooperative learning activities as well as group work, role play and discussions. Teachers and trainers can use the activities from this training unit while addressing sex and gender related issues with pupils in primary school.
