In this training resource participants reflect on the topics of physical education, sports, democracy and human rights. The training unit asks participants to discuss how to teach physical education for the promotion of human rights and democracy, as well as how to fight against discrimination and prejudices.
Activities used in this training unit demonstrate how to modify physical education lessons to contribute to democracy education and student development. They also help participants to think about and assess different teaching styles in physical education.
This resource helps teachers to develop a more democratic approach to teaching sport and physical education in schools.
