This resource presents the results of a 2005 conference of experts on teaching and learning history. It reports on the workshops on the use of sources in the teaching and learning of history around Europe.
The resource offers a short description of the workshops conducted during the conference. These workshops show history teachers how to implement different methodologies and techniques to help students develop skills such as open-mindedness, tolerance and cultural communication.
The resource offers a selection of theoretical perspectives from different European countries and can be used during initial training as well as in-service training of history teachers working with pupils in secondary or tertiary education.
