Back What does it mean to be a citizen/human being?

This resource aims to raise general public awareness of discrimination and the need for its prevention. It looks at discrimination with regards to gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, health, age, political opinion, social status, religion, race, language or nationality.

The resource uses games, dialogues, role play, case studies, small group work, text analysis and simulations to invite participants to work with the included materials and reflect upon as well as develop their own competences when dealing with discrimination.

The resource can be used for in-service as well as pre-service training of teachers and trainers as well as educators serving either in primary or secondary schools, in universities or in NGOs. It can be used cross-curricular, e.g. during a project day in a school.
