MONEYVAL hosted the 2nd FSRBs Forum

The second forum of FATF-Style Regional Bodies (FSRBs), hosted by MONEYVAL in collaboration with the GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), took place from 24 to 25 February, in Strasbourg, France. The event brought together representatives from the seven FSRBs and the FATF Secretariat (Financial Action Task Force), to exchange knowledge and strengthen collaboration in the global fight against money laundering and terrorism financing.

The Forum set the stage for discussion on key challenges encountered in the last round of mutual evaluation and priorities in the upcoming evaluation round. Insights and experiences from past evaluations conducted by the FSRBs and the FATF contributed to discussions on benchmarks for future assessment and follow-up processes. A key dialogue also examined the role of FSRBs in the FATF’s International Co-operation Review Group (ICRG) process and post-exit actions.

The Forum reaffirmed the commitment of FSRBs to strengthening global AML/CFT frameworks through cooperation, knowledge-sharing, peer-to-peer learning, and continuous improvement.
