As part of the joint EU/Council of Europe project “Support for the implementation of judicial reform in Serbia”, representatives from the criminal law departments of all four appellate courts in Serbia convened in Belgrade today to discuss further efforts in harmonising caselaw. The quarterly meeting was also attended by representatives from the Supreme Court of Cassation.

The Council of Europe expert opened the meeting with a presentation outlining measures intended to promote greater caselaw unification under the “Support for the implementation of judicial reform in Serbia” project.

The project will continue to support caselaw harmonisation efforts and facilitate the usage of appropriate IT tools, ultimately contributing to a more efficient and effective judicial system in Serbia.
