The main objective of the project is to ensure that rights-holders in Albania enjoy better human rights through improved domestic capacity to enforce property rights and execute the related ECtHR judgments.

  • Domestic stakeholders have strengthened co-operation and enhanced capacities to execute the European Court of Human Rights judgments.
  • The role and capacities of the higher courts in Albania to harmonise domestic practice are reinforced.
  • Legislation in the field of property rights is better aligned with the ECtHR standards.
  • Institutional and court practitioners at central and local levels have their capacities strengthened to efficiently implement domestic legislation in the field of property rights
  • Rights-holders in Albania, including vulnerable groups, are better informed about their rights and how to claim them (with a specific focus to the protection of property rights).
