Training course “Stop feeling sorry, start acting!”
Description: The training course Stop Feeling Sorry, Start Acting brought together 36 youth workers from 10 different countries to south Estonia to talk about hate speech and human rights using non-formal educational methods. The training course, which was held from 10 to 20 April 2016, aimed at combating hate speech online and offline, as well as developing the competences of youth workers in recognising hate speech and human rights abuse, and combating it in youth work. Additionally, the training course introduced youth workers to two educational manuals – Bookmarks and Compass – as tools for working on hate speech and human rights with youngsters, and providing them with useful methods. The training course concluded with the development of local and international initiatives to combat hate speech online and offline. The full documentation of the day-to-day programme of the training course can be read in English.
