Structured Participation in Democratic Processes

In line with the mission of the North-South Centre to contribute to democratic consolidation in the neighbouring regions, the Youth Cooperation programme recognises the unique added value that youth from both sides of the Mediterranean bring to democratic reforms and development.

The programme implements education and awareness raising actions with a special focus on “Structured Participation of young people in Democratic Processes” (SPDP) and inter and intraregional youth cooperation in the framework of the Mediterranean University on Youth and Global Citizenship.

The training course on Structured Participation in Democratic Processes (SPDP), in its different editions, provided youth led civil society and youth activists with reinforced capacities to support the development of democratic citizenship and participation in political life.
