Using Teams to access COE collaborative spaces
Accessing a COE collaborative space via teams online
If you have already completed your first connection, follow one of the procedures below.
If you have not completed the first connection, follow the first connection procedure.
A. You can access the COE collaborative spaces you have been given access to by:
- Typing teams.coe.int into a browser.
- When prompted by Microsoft, enter your login ending in @extraweb.coe.int and the password you created above.
- Complete the 2-step authentication.
You will automatically see the COE collaborative spaces you have been given access to in the left-hand column of Teams.
B. You can also click on the link to the collaborative space as provided by the administrator of this space. When prompted, click on join on the web instead, enter your COE credentials and complete the 2-step authentication.
Useful functionalities of Teams online
1. Access your COE collabrative space as decribed above.
2. Go to the Teams tab on the sidebar and find your Teams channel
3. In the General channel, click on […] to access the menu
4. Pin your Teams channel to see it at the top of the list
5. Click on […] in your General channel to access notifications
6. Select your channel notifications and change them in the settings
7. Add a new post in the “Posts” tab of the Teams General channel
8. Attach a document to your post by clicking the [+] button.
9. Tag a member of the Teams channel (enter @LastName) in the post so that he/she receives a notification to view the post
10. Post your message
11. Edit your message by clicking on the pencil icon if you wish to modify it
12. Reply to the posts
13. Choose whether you would like to see new posts at the top or bottom of your screen by clicking on […] inqse the top bar
14. Add new files in the “Files” tab of the General channel
15. Upload new files directly from your computer
16. Click on “+New” to create new folder or to create new document from scratch
17. Documents are automatically synchronised in CoE Document Management system in a folder designated by Teams Channel owner
18. Select a document to access the drop-down menu
19. Delete, rename, move document or copy link to the document
20. Use the search bar to find content in your Teams channel
21. Type a keyword in the search bar
