With the support of the joint European Union and Council of Europe action “Accountability and professionalism of the judicial system in Montenegro”, informative brochures on the work of notaries, bailiffs, court experts and court interpreters have been recently published, printed and disseminated to relevant stakeholders.

The purpose of the brochure is to promote ethics and accountability of independent legal professions in Montenegro and to provide information to citizens on how to use the existing accountability mechanisms to report irregularities in the work of notaries, bailiffs, court experts and court interpreters. The brochure has been prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, Human and Minority Rights, the Chamber of Notaries of Montenegro, the Chamber of Public Bailiffs of Montenegro, the Association of Court Experts of Montenegro and the Montenegrin Legal Interpreters and Translators Association, as part of its joint efforts on promoting ethics and accountability of these professions.

The action “Accountability and professionalism of the judicial system in Montenegro” is part of the joint European Union and Council of Europe programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019 - 2022”, which is aimed at assisting beneficiaries in the Western Balkans region and Turkey to comply with the Council of Europe standards and European Union acquis in the framework of the enlargement process, where relevant.
