A new online platform, Cities4Cities, has been developed to help Ukrainian cities. Launched at the initiative of Bernd Vöhringer (Germany, EPP/CCE), President of the Chamber of Local Authorities of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities and Mayor of the city of Sindelfingen, with the support of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, the platform will match Ukrainian and other European cities to provide help and support local infrastructure in Ukraine.
The Cities4Cities platform is an online exchange tool, allowing interested local authorities to register and share their needs or offers in a few clicks, indicating the contact services for a direct connection.
The launch event of the Cities4Cities platform takes place on Tuesday 29 March 2022 in the presence of Mayor Bernd Vöhringer, Ambassador Borys Tarasyuk, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe, Andreas Kiefer, Secretary General of the Congress, and the Managing Director of STAR Cooperation which developed the tool.
