Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić has met the Hungarian Minister of Justice Judit Varga. The meeting focused on the recent visit of the Special Representative on Migration and Refugees to Hungary, the state of play of Hungary’s execution of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, the implementation of the recommendations of GRECO’s 4th and 5th round of evaluations and the follow-up given to the opinions by the Venice Commission with regard to Hungary. The Minister briefed the Secretary General about the ongoing judicial reform in her country.
