Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland made the following statement today:
"I strongly condemn the attacks on the soil of our host country, France. These cowardly attacks have targeted civilians as well as law enforcement officials. I salute the courageous action of the latter and express the Council of Europe’s full solidarity with the French people and the authorities. I offer my most sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy and full recovery to the wounded. "
