PACE President Theodoros Rousopoulos will meet António Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, on 10 March in New York, on the occasion of the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women. He will also speak at the opening of a side event organised by PACE's Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination in co-operation with Greece on “Women’s equal representation – obstacles and solutions”. He will hold other high-level bilateral meetings in New York, in particular with the Under-Secretary General for Policy in the Executive Office of the Secretary General. Mr Rousopoulos will subsequently travel to Washington (12-13 March), where he will hold meetings with representatives of the US Congress, the Organization of American States (OAS), the diplomatic community and human rights organisations.
