Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez made today an official visit to the Council of Europe.
Prime Minister Sánchez held meetings with Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland, President of the Parliamentary Assembly Liliane Maury Pasquier, President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities Anders Knape and President of the European Court of Human Rights Guido Raimondi.
During their meeting, the Secretary General Jagland and the Prime Minister discussed the challenges facing Europe, in particular migration, and also the challenges facing the Council of Europe regarding Russia’s participation in the Parliamentary Assembly.
The Prime Minister also delivered a speech to the Committee of Ministers, the decision-making body of the Organisation representing its 47 member states.
