“I am shocked by last night’s terrible attack in Oslo – which seems to have specifically targeted the LGBTI community,” said the PACE President Tiny Kox.
“My thoughts are with the families of the victims, and all those affected, as well as those who were looking forward to a peaceful Pride Parade. I trust this will be investigated as a possible hate crime,” he added.
“Our Assembly is doing all it can to end hate crime, and we recently set up a parliamentary network on the rights of LGBTI people. We must all be free to live our lives without fear."
