Today Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland met Prime Minister Antonis Samaras of Greece. Greece currently holds the EU presidency. Topics of discussion included increased Council of Europe co-operation with the EU, the current economic and political challenges facing Greece, stability in the region and issues related to the xenophobic party ‘Golden Dawn' and the European elections.
