Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić has met Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan, and President of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan during an official visit to Armenia. During her meetings, the Secretary General discussed the follow-up to the Reykjavik Summit and accession to Council of Europe legal instruments, highlighting the relevance of the co-operation with Armenia.
The Secretary General emphasised the importance of the Action Plan and of the ongoing reforms in the country. She also confirmed the possibility of implementing the Council of Europe’s Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) as an operational support to foster dialogue in the region.
