Council of Europe Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić in Moscow on 19 and 20 October for meetings on key issues facing the Organisation.
The Secretary General met with Sergey Lavrov, Minister for Foreign Affairs; Valentina Matviyenko, Chairperson of the Federation Council and Konstantin Chuychenko, Minister of Justice. She also visited the State Duma to meet members of the Russian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly. Meetings also took place with Tatiana Moskalkova, High Commissioner for Human Rights and with NGO representatives. The Secretary General also gave a speech at the MGIMO University.
