On the occasion of the plenary meeting of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ), the Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice of Morocco, Mr Abdelilah Lahkim Bennani, met with Ms Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, in the framework of the Programme to support the justice sector reform - Improving the functioning of justice in Morocco using the CEPEJ tools which is financed by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
Ms Battaini-Dragoni thanked both the Minister of Justice, Mr Mohamed Aujjar and Mr Bennani for the quality the work carried out in the field of co-operation with the CEPEJ. She further welcomed the decision of Morocco to participate, for the first time this year, in the CEPEJ evaluation exercise of judicial systems and, more globally, congratulated them for the current ongoing reforms in the field of justice which seek to establish a modern, quick and impartial system.
