A month-long anti-trafficking campaign #Don’tBeSilent! Prevent Human Trafficking! is concluded.
Our project, “Enhancing anti-trafficking action” supported the Ministry of Internal Affairs on preparation of the campaign, launched on 18 October, on European Anti-trafficking Day.
The campaign was launched through a high-level conference organised in Pristina, with the keynote speeches from highest institutional level, the President Mrs. Osmani, Prime Minister Mr. Kurti, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs/National Coordinator against Trafficking in Human Beings Mr.Gashani, Acting Chief State Prosecutor Mr. Kelmendi, and other high level speakers, among which Mr. Frank Power, Head of Council of Europe Office Pristina addressed the audience, highlighting the Council’s work to support government and other local institutions on meeting the standards of the Council of Europe Convection on Action Against Trafficking in Human Beings.
Along the journey of diverse outreach activities, we supported Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovations and Kosovo Police to raise awareness about the dangers of human trafficking and strengthen the voice of children to end child trafficking.
Enhancing anti-trafficking actions” project is built upon Council of Europe’s GRETA recommendations and is committed to strengthen awareness raising efforts and institutional anti-trafficking actions.
