The Government of Belgium has made a voluntary contribution of  €31,089.39 to reduce the European Court of Human Rights backlog of well-founded cases.

The agreement was signed on 12 January 2017 by Ambassador Gilles Heyvaert, Permanent Representative of Belgium to the Council of Europe, and Mrs Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni, Deputy Secretary General.
