Liechtenstein makes a voluntary contribution

The government of Liechtenstein has made a voluntary contribution of CHF 15,000 (approximately €12,576) to support the implementation of the Council of Europe Action Plan on Protecting Refugee and Migrant Children in Europe.

This action plan is based on concrete actions for the benefit of refugee and migrant children and aims to ensure access to rights and child-friendly procedures, provide effective protection and enhance the integration of children who would remain in Europe.

Liechtenstein has also made a contribution of €3,325.81 towards reducing the European Court of Human Rights backlog of well-founded cases.

The agreements were signed on 16 January 2018 by Ambassador Daniel Ospelt, Permanent Representative of Liechtenstein to the Council of Europe, and by Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni, Deputy Secretary General.
