Monaco signs a two-year cooperation agreement

The Principality of Monaco has signed an Agreement which covers the years 2018-2019 and foresees a voluntary contribution of €240,000 Euros to support a number of Council of Europe initiatives.

The areas supported include the Council of Europe Action Plan Action Plan on Protecting Refugee and Migrant children in Europe, the fight against violence against women and children in the South Mediterranean Region, the European Court of Human Rights, the fight against Cybercrime as well as the Bern Convention.

Monaco has also made voluntary contribution of €8,000 to support the Work Programme 2018-2019 of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO).

The agreements were was signed on 9 May 2018 by Ambassador Rémi Mortier, Permanent Representative of Monaco to the Council of Europe, and by Mrs Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni, Deputy Secretary General.
