Back Council of Europe and amusement park association issue joint statement against intolerance

Roland Mack, chairman of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia (USA) and Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland issued a joint statement today against racism and discrimination.

The Secretary General welcomed the adoption of the Council of Europe's guidelines and principles promoting diversity and respect for human rights by the IAAPA. He also praised continued cooperation between the Council of Europe and Europapark in Germany, under the direction of Mr Mack, to hold annual meetings for youth coming from conflict regions – including Palestinian and Israeli students and students from the Balkans – to promote mutual understanding.
