On 21 December 2021, the Action against economic crime organised an online meeting with prosecutors, representatives of the Association of Public Prosecutors of the Republic of North Macedonia, during which clarifications and advice were provided for ensuring compliance of the Code of Ethics with applicable fundamental principles, national legislation and international standards, such as the European Guidelines on Ethics and Conduct for Public Prosecutors (“the Budapest Guidelines”) 2005 (CPGE). Based on the discussion during the meeting, as well as the previous review of the Code, all recommendations will be reflected in a technical paper, that will support the Association in introducing further amendments to the Code.

This activity is organised and funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey” phase II.
