“Study on the capacity of the national asylum system in the Republic of Moldova” presented in Chisinau

Under the project “Strengthening the human rights protection of refugees and migrants in the Republic of Moldova”, a workshop dedicated to the presentation of the "Study on the capacity of the national asylum system in the Republic of Moldova" was held on 6 March 2024 in Chisinau. The study identifies the primary shortcomings and challenges within the national asylum system of the Republic of Moldova. It also offers recommendations for aligning the system with international and European standards, particularly focusing on the EU regulatory framework on asylum.

30 school teachers from educational institutions from several districts in the north of the country participated in a two-day training seminars on providing psychological support to children and adolescents who have experienced traumatic events and prevention of burnout, during 11-12 March 2024, in Balti city. The seminars were carried out by four experts from the National Centre for Psycho-pedagogical Assistance, under the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, who had strengthened their professional skills in previous trainings organised by the Council of Europe.
