SRSG meets EU and UN representatives in Brussels

On 2 & 3 February, the Special Representative of the Secretary General on Migration and Refugees (SRSG), Leyla Kayacik met representatives of the European Union and the United Nations in Brussels to discuss the latest developments of the migration and refugee situation in Europe. 

She had a series of meetings with high-level EU officials, including Nathalie Berger, Director for Support to Member State Reforms, European Commission; Johannes Luchner, Deputy Director General in charge of Horizontal Affairs and Migration, European Commission; Kim Freidberg, Director, Directorate-General Justice and Home Affairs, Council of the European Union; and Giulio Di Blasi, Member of Cabinet, Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson.

SRSG Kayacik also met representatives of the United Nations agencies in Brussels -  OHCHR, UNHCR, UNICEF, IOM, UN Women and UN DCO.
