On 17 December 2019, a representative of the Execution Department took part in the conference organised in Athens by the Greek Council for Refugees on the occasion of its 30th Anniversary. The conference was entitled “Challenges in international protection in Greece and Europe”. Speakers and participants included the President of the Supreme Administrative Court, the Greek Ombudsman, representatives of UNHCR, IOM and NGOs active in refugee protection in Greece. A number of judgments delivered by the European Court of Human Rights concern asylum seekers and refugees in Greece and their execution is under the supervision of the Committee of Ministers.
