On 8-12 October 2018 in Strasbourg, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is going to discuss the risks of Radicalisation of migrants and members of diaspora communities (rapporteur Ms Sahiba Gafarova, Azerbaijan, EC) and Family reunification (rapporteur Ms Ulla Sandbaek, Denmark, UEL). The PACE Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons will hear a report on the regional meeting of the Parliamentary Network on Diaspora Policies held in Kyiv on 24 September, where Mr Duarte Marques (Portugal, EPP) was appointed new coordinator of the Network, and exchange views with Mr Lahbib Nadir, Secretary General of the Ministry responsible for Moroccans abroad and Migration Affairs of Morocco. In the framework of the Campaign to End Migration Detention of Children, an exchange of views will be held with the Executive Secretary of the European Committee of Social Rights of the European Social Charter on Complaint No.114/2015 EUROCEF v. France, and with the secretariat of the European Court of Human Rights. A new video on alternatives to detention will be shown to parliamentarians.
