The Monitoring Group of the Anti-Doping Convention (T-DO) adopted the evaluation reports of the 2022 visits to Ireland, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. Each report contains tailored recommendations for improving the country’s anti-doping system concerned, based on extensive consultation with national stakeholders, the information provided by the national authorities, and the expertise of the international team of evaluators conducting each visit. Reports also identify good practices which could serve as models in other countries.
As a final step of the process, the national authorities of the concerned countries will submit a follow-up report on the implementation of the recommendations.
Each year, the Monitoring Group analyses the anti-doping systems of State Parties to the Anti-Doping Convention through a questionnaire and carries out several of such evaluation visits. The latter are designed to assist and guide countries in implementing policies and programs aligned with the Anti-Doping Convention. These visits provide an opportunity for countries to access specialised expertise and strengthen national mechanisms and cooperation.
Upcoming reports on the evaluation visits to Belgium (January 2023) and France (March 2023), will be presented at the 57th meeting of the Monitoring Group on 9-10 November 2023.
