The Advisory Group on Science of the Monitoring Group of the Council of Europe Anti-Doping Convention, met in London (United Kingdom), hosted by the United Kingdom Anti-Doping Agency (UKAD).

Anti-Doping scientists from the State Parties to the Convention met to address key issues in anti-doping regulations and standards, such as the draft 2025 Prohibited List, as part of the annual review of this key anti-doping text. The group consolidated comments and proposed revisions to the draft List. By comprehensively addressing this list of substances and methods banned in sport, the Council of Europe contributes to a collaborative exercise of international cooperation for clean sport.

The group also exchanged views on contaminants, reflecting on concerns and potential measures to mitigate this issue.

Experts reviewed the draft Code and WADA International Standards for the 2027 edition, with a particular focus on science, medicine, and laboratories. Further steps for the ongoing consultation process were also agreed.

The group finally welcomed the participation of the World Association of Anti-Doping Scientists (WAADS), as a newly appointed observer to the Monitoring Group of the Anti-Doping Convention (T-DO).
