The Council of Europe will be present at the upcoming International Sports Convention to be held in Geneva on 7-8 December 2016. One of the conferences on the first day of the event is the Sports Integrity Conference, supported by the World Lottery Association (WLA) and the European Lotteries Association (EL); the EU-Council of Europe Joint Project KCOOS, Keep Crime Out of Sport (for which EL is an associate partner), will be presented at a roundtable on international cooperation in the fight against match-fixing including key outputs from the various project events, as well as key activities of the Council of Europe’s secretariat for the Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competitions. This will be followed by a panel discussion on national platforms for combating sports manipulations, an innovative tool of the Convention.
The International Sports Convention 2016 will feature about 18 Conferences (Seminars), and a major Exhibition to ensure business, networking and sales are done. The 18 Sports Conferences (Seminars) are specific to each sector but it is the crossover and scale of the event, which is unique to the ISC. This maximises the business, networking and learning opportunities for Organisations. Over 2000 visitors are expected at the event which will see over 150 speakers and over a 100 exhibitors.
