The field work of the ACT project has started with the first technical assistance mission held on 2-4 May 2023 in Rabat, Morocco. Meetings with the relevant stakeholders at national level contributed to further support the establishment of a national platform (as provided for by Article 13 of the Macolin Convention) and to provide a strong basis for its future operational work. The main work areas that were identified are: the organisation of the platform (including its operation and financing), awareness-raising, prevention, detection and tackling illegal betting.
