The Ad Hoc European Committee for the World Anti-Doping Agency (CAHAMA) held its sixty-first meeting on 7 and 8 September in Strasbourg, France.

More than 70 European representatives from Council of Europe member States had an exchange of views with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) representatives on the agenda items for the next WADA Executive Committee meeting (Shanghai, 22 September) and agreed on the European position for that meeting.

CAHAMA delegations also discussed European and global anti-doping issues, heard about the progress of the work of the Drafting Committee on Ensuring Gender Equality in Anti-Doping (GECA), and received an update from a UNESCO representative on the forthcoming meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the International Convention against Doping in Sport (Paris, 25-26 October).

Delegations paid tribute to the memory of Joseph De Pencier, whose commitment to clean sport, vision, expertise and the pursuit of excellence will serve as a compass for the future.

The 62nd CAHAMA meeting will be held in Strasbourg, on 8 and 9 November 2023.
