The Ad Hoc European Committee for the World Anti-Doping Agency (CAHAMA) held its sixty-second meeting in Strasbourg, France, on 8 and 9 November.
More than 75 European representatives from Council of Europe member States discussed global anti-doping issues, heard about the progress made on the work of the Drafting Committee on Ensuring Gender Equality in Anti-Doping (GECA), and received an update on the activities of OneVoice.
CAHAMA delegations exchanged views on the protection of human rights with Snežana Samardžić-Marković, independent expert responsible for the initial human rights impact assessment commissioned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
Finally, discussions were held with WADA representatives before delegations participated in the definition of the European position ahead of the WADA Executive Committee and Foundation Board meetings.
The 63rd CAHAMA meeting will be held in Strasbourg, on 5 and 6 March 2024.
