The Saint-Denis Committee held its 4th meeting – the first one fully in-person – in Strasbourg, on 18-19 October 2023, back-to-back with the first meeting of its Ad hoc Working Group on UEFA EURO 2024, which will be hosted by Germany.
The Committee notably adopted the monitoring report on the Year/season 2021-22, followed-up on the incidents of the 2022 UEFA Champions League final, was updated on the recent developments by States parties and observers to the Saint-Denis Convention, and exchanged views with relevant stakeholders such as the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), the International Federation of Professional Footballer (FIFPRO), the University of Lodz and Signify on their initiatives and future ways of cooperation with the Committee.
The first meeting of the Ad hoc Working Group on UEFA EURO 2024 (Germany) brought together States parties and observers taking stock of the safety, security and service preparations for this major tournament as presented by the German delegation and the UEFA.
