The Macolin Convention was at the centre of the attention at the 20th seminar on sports management, organised in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) by the Foundation Getulio Vargas (FGV) in cooperation with the Centre International d'Etude du Sport (CIES) and FIFA.
By joining the Convention, the region’s countries would become part of a unique framework for international cooperation to combat the expansion of this scourge across the world
This activity aligns with the global nature of the Convention, and with its expansion strategy. In April, a joint declaration was developed by the Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Betting (CIBELAE), ULIS (United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports), and the Council of Europe on the occasion of a regional conference held in Buenos Aires.
