The OFSPO (Swiss federal office of sport) hosted on 22 and 23 May in Macolin the 8th Meeting of the Follow-up Committee and the 6th Meeting of the Group of Copenhagen, starting celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the Convention which will span throughout the year.
Matthias Remund, Director of OFSPO stressed that “In an international context and thanks to your efforts, Macolin is now synonymous with the efforts of the international community to ensure fair sporting competitions, to combat the manipulation of sports competitions and to protect the values and integrity of sport as a whole”.
Those two pivotal days highlighted the progress achieved in the last decade of action and international cooperation and challenges ahead in combating sports competitions manipulation.
The Council of Europe's renewed commitment underscores its resolve to preserve the integrity and values of sport.
