The International School Sports Federation (ISF) aims to promote school sport in all its forms as a tool for the physical, intellectual, moral, social and cultural development of students, to transmit the sport values and the Olympic spirit and create opportunities for the youth to learn and discover the world and the issues that exist within sport and society. ISF organizes sports and educational events for school sport athletes aged 6 to 18 who are with or without impairment. Founded in 1972 as an organization that oversees the governing bodies of national school sports entities, it has 132 national member associations, spread over five (5) continents. With more than forty (40) sports in its competition programme, the ISF organizes multi-sport events (Gymnasiade, Beach Games, Combat Games, Cool Games) and single-sport (world school championships) events, as well as educational events (Educational Games, ISF Forum, ISF Fun and Skill zone, ISF seminars) and competitions for athletes with impairment (Inclusive Games).

Safeguarding of Children in Sport
Finalize the structuring of the safeguarding children in sport policy and present a plan for implementation and sharing of good practices with ISF members
Consolidate the policy papers concerning the importance of physical education for young people and school sport, by focusing particularly on the number of hours of practice, the quality of teachers and their training, the quality and convenience of sports facilities in schools.
ISF area of expertise for EPAS
The ISF has specific expertise in the construction of educational and curricular programs related to the practice of sport and the learning of the values of sport in the school environment related to the development of the child / young person from the perspective of Education through sport.
The ISF, supported by its members, the school sports entities, which are either public authorities or working in close collaboration with them, has acquired expertise as an organizer of events for schoolchildren. Therefore, the ISF proposes to be a partner and a platform contributing to the collection of data, the dissemination of information, the drafting of documents and the participation/implementation of the documents/programmes of the Council of Europe for and those directly involved in school sports.
