On 2^nd November, started off in Durrës a series of Open Talks with the network of professional teachers (TeacherNet) established under the project Strengthening Democratic Citizenship Education in Albania.

Discussions among teachers of pre-university education institutions focused on how the competences for democratic culture can be better integrated in the primary and secondary school curriculum.

The Council of Europe’s Education Department Learning Modules Online (LEMON) was introduced to participants, including the possibility of incorporating the LEMON courses as a part of teacher training and perhaps regular school curriculum.

The project “Strengthening Democratic Citizenship Education in Albania” is implemented by the Council of Europe and funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
