The Republic of Chile signed the Council of Europe Convention Against Trafficking In Human Organs

On 27 November, Chile signed the Council of Europe Convention Against Trafficking In Human Organs, named Santiago De Compostela Convention.

In total, there are 15 Parties to the Convention and a further 13 are signatories. Chile is the 2nd American country to join the convention.

This signature testifies Chile’s strong desire to strengthen the fight against the scourge of Trafficking in Human Organs and represents the culmination of long-term work launched by the Chilean authorities and the Secretariat of the Committee of the Parties to the Santiago de Compostela convention.
